My first time dining here, and this place lives up to the dress code, which is nice. With reservations, no wait time. When you come in, you're greeted and asked about dietary restrictions. The ambiance is romantic. The music wasn't too soft or too loud. The customer service was exceptional they stayed on top of cleanliness. They were attentive but not overwhelmingly so. The managers came around to ask how service and food were. The live music and performance is an additional bonus for the experience. However, even with live music, it wasn't too loud. The drinks looked and tasted amazing. The food was my least favorite, but it was still palatable. In my opinion, it lacked in flavor. I would visit again.

Our server, Angelica, truly elevated the experience. She was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable—guiding us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations and impeccable timing. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The al pastor tacos were a standout—tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. And the drinks? Craft cocktails done right. Each one was creative, refreshing, and complemented the meal perfectly. Toca Madera delivered on all fronts—food, drinks, and service. Queen was our server and she was absolutely fantastic! As a first-time visitor, I appreciated her spot-on recommendations tailored to my preferences. She was attentive without being overbearing and had a wonderful, personable demeanor. I loved the ambiance and the music being played, but I wish the tables were a bit more spread out. It was difficult to have conversations with how close the two tables next to us were.

Had an excellent first experience, celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Our waitress was awesome, the food was great, the atmosphere great, only thing I wish could have been better is the drinks. They looked pretty but the taste was a little faint, and lite. My daughter had a signature cocktail but it was too sour. I was also disappointed that they said I could bring a cake, but they charged $4 per person to consume the cake while dining there, that to me was ridiculous. Never heard of paying to eat your own cake. We had a party of 9 and payed over $575. A little pricy I must add but still a good experience. I brought my younger child too and she got burned by the hot iron skillet. Yes we were told it’s hot but to be that hot and burn her arm was a little extreme. I understand it may have not been the most kid friendly place. But it was overall a good experience.

Houston does have the perfect restaurant! They have great drinks and my favorite are the ones they set on fire. What a show! It gets everyone’s attention in the restaurant and I love it. I love how they present their dessert with flames. Made me feel special. The service is the best I’ve ever seen. They’re so attentive. Their steaks are great along with the truffle mac & cheese. It was definitely medium rare but more so rare. My favorite was getting a front seat to watching the beautiful lady work her magic with fire. Truly an unforgettable experience and great for special occasions.
